Established in 2004, the State of Illinois Executive Ethics Commission (EEC) promotes ethical conduct for executive branch officials and employees. This includes those employed by State agencies, boards, commissions, public institutions of higher education, and regional transit authorities. The Commission is responsible for administering the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act, which seeks to ensure integrity, accountability, and fairness in State government.
